NOHRC Frequently Asked Questions - For Speakers

Potential Speaker FAQs

1. When is the Call For Presentation (CFP) due?

The CFP is due at the end of October and is sent out in September.

2. Is there a specific list of presentation requirements that I should know about prior to completing the CFP?

Yes, visit the “Call for Presentations” page found on our conference website at http://www.nohrc.org/call-for-speakers.cfm Please review the information found on this page PRIOR to completing the application. The website lists the required sections that must be filled out in order to submit your application. Note that the online application does not allow the user to save the form and return at a later date.

Please note that it is important to enter ALL fees (travel, speaking) and anticipated reimbursable expenses for the speaking engagement.

We do encourage speaker’s organizations to exhibit and/or sponsor at NOHRC. However, the committee does not trade speaking fees for exhibitor/sponsorships. Further, speakers are selected on content and not based on any association with a conference exhibitor or sponsor.

3. If I miss the deadline for the CFP, may I still apply?

CFPs received after the deadline will be saved, reviewed and considered for the following year’s conference.

4. If I do not complete the CFP but submit it on time, will I be considered?

No, CFP must be complete when submitted to be considered.

5. Once chosen, how will I be communicated with?

A member of the speaker committee team will email a contract and contact you via phone. Please ensure that you provide your current email/cell/phone in the CFP.
