Yes, visit the “Call for Presentations” page found on the Cleveland SHRM website by clicking HERE. Please review the information found on this page PRIOR to completing the application. Note that the online application does not allow the user to save the form and return at a later date.
Please note that it is important to enter ALL fees (travel, speaking) and anticipated reimbursable expenses for the speaking engagement.
We do encourage speaker’s organizations to exhibit and/or sponsor at NOHRC. However, the committee does not trade speaking fees for exhibitor/sponsorships. Further, speakers are selected on content and not based on any association with a conference exhibitor or sponsor.

CFPs received after the deadline will be saved, reviewed and considered for the following year’s conference.

No, CFP must be complete when submitted to be considered.

A member of the speaker committee team will email a contract and contact you via phone. Please ensure that you provide your current email/cell/phone in the CFP.

Speakers not selected for the conference will receive an email from speakers@nohrc.org. Any speaker wishing to discuss his/her status may contact the speaker committee lead. Contact information is located on our conference website at http://www.nohrc.org/conference-committee.cfm

Absolutely! We welcome all speakers to come and stay for the entire conference, as well as for the After Hours Event.

Yes. Every year the conference reserves at least 8 hotel rooms at a local hotel at a discounted rate. One of the speaker committee members will notify you of the discount and the hotel in February, where you can then reserve/pay for your room at that time.

Shuttle service to and from the I-X Center is provided by the selected hotel. In addition, there are cabs that are readily available.

Parking is available at the I-X Center and is free.

Upon arriving at the conference registration, please identify yourself as a conference speaker. A member of the speaker committee will escort you to our “war room” also known as Room 1. You may also go directly to Room 1 by proceeding past the registration area toward the escalators of the I-X Center. Room 1 is directly across from the escalators and is reserved for committee members and speakers. A speaker committee member will take you to the room where you will be presenting.

Prior to the conference, a speaker committee member will send a logistics letter that will provide the room location and a listing of the specific amenities in the room. For example, lavaliere microphone, flip charts, etc.

In February, a committee member will ask for your final PowerPoint Presentation for the conference. The Committee will place the final presentation on our conference website - NOHRC.org. The session page is password-protected allowing registered attendees the opportunity to review and download the presentation. The committee does not provide handouts for speaker sessions.

Yes, we send out a survey to all attendees to assess each presentation. A speaker committee member will follow up with you once we receive the results.
